If I had the money...

I would go out and buy myself an amazing house and do ALL of the decorating myself.

Now, you may have realised that I am VERY into interior design hence the constant change in my blog banner to suit my design cravings. I love styling rooms, as much as I do outfits!

I am really into simple clean lines that have character...


As a child, I promised myself I would have an all white house...

Whilst growing up, I realised that limiting myself to just white is rather bizarre when there are so many pretty colours out there. So, I decided I would expand my vision and make a theme for each room instead.

One theme in addition to my white themed room is a Moroccan inspired relaxation room!

I would also love to have a room where I can stash and make all of my creative stuff, I don't want it to look uber tidy but more "lived in".

I also love Mediterranean living, I absolutely adore the room below, it just leaves me speechless looking at it.

I'm also into shabby chic as you might of guessed!

I love the whole Parisian modern feel, I don't however like things to get TOO floral & vintage looking, as that can look rather dated. But, in moderation can look AMAZING!

I'm also very into black, yes I know my taste is a real mish mash, but what can I say? I like a bit of everything.

Black, white, vintage, modern and clean... I J'adore this style, tres chic! :)

What do you think about a theme for each room? Or would you rather carry one style through the entire house?

Well hello there, :) it feels like AGES since I have blogged, even though it's only been a few days due to my laptop screen breaking. I'm so behind on everything now! However, that problem is now fixed, thanks to the hubby! :) He ordered me a new screen and fitted it for me. If this problem has happened to you, check this video here on how to do it yourself so that you can save some money.

ANYWAY! Yesterday, I went out with a friend to unwind. I knew what I wanted and here's what I got;



My mum took my extensions out yesterday and my hair was in need of a treat, I picked up the Tresemme thermal recovery shampoo, conditioner and mask which so far are amazing.

I also got the Burt's Bees orange essence facial cleanser with orange oil, a friend once told me that this was amazing and I was sold when I saw it in Boots again. The whole range infact, looked amazing but expensive.

I repurchased the Olay beauty fluid as I had run out, I tried the Dr Nick Lowe anti age range for a few days and seriously, in my opinion it's nothing special but my mum loves it along with my friend.

And...... I got the Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser spf 15 *yayy* I love this, I figured I would use this during the day, and the beauty fluid at night or on no make up days.

Have you tried any of these products? If so, what do you think?


I then got sidetracked whilst waiting for the bus (as you do) and managed to wonder in Warehouse inside the Plaza (London) and literally everything was on sale. I purchased this amazing bag for £40 down from £70. It's a mahogany brown leather bag with very intricate fringe detail. Yes, it's very odd looking, but I like that :) I know it's not to every one's taste but I LOVE it!

I also picked up these baggy "boyfriend" jeans, I love to be relaxed sometimes and these jeans are so comfy. I plan on wearing them with either a black or white vest top, and white plimsolls. I wore them yesterday and my dad kept accusing me of wearing my husbands jeans. lol

Highlighter: Not really highlighting at the moment?!

Eyeshadow base: Urban Decay primer potion if I remember! Eeek.

Eyeshadows: Hmmm I can never get enough of Mac Ricepaper, UD Mayhem and Mac Carbon & Bronze.

Eyeliner: MAC Fluidline in blacktrack however, it has almost finished. I'm considering buying a deep purple instead?!

Mascara: Body Shop super volume - Although not by choice, I am on a mission to complete every single tube of mascara I own before I attempt to buy my 2 favourites! (Chanel exceptionnel & YSL faux cils)

Lipstick: Body Shop #64 - yes it truly is AMAZING!

Lipgloss: Oddly, I have been skipping lipgloss - why am I such a freak? I own so many, instead I have just been using Carmex.

Nail Colour: Hmmm, I currently have a Nails Inc lilac polish on my toes, and would you believe I haven't had time to paint my nails? Though, I shall urgently - omg I'm so ashamed! lol :(

Saturday Night Sevilla...

Last night I finally got to wear my Sevilla dress... Yay! *Claps*


Me and the hubs went out for a lovely meal to break our fast (Ramadan Kareem), I must say I did feel slightly OTT with the bright colour, but the restaurant was so posh & lovely that I fit in very well! :) The dress actually looks more striking in person, the silk chiffon just flows beautifully with every movement. I have to say A LOT of women were staring at me.. (do you think that was a good thing or bad? lol)

I tried to tone down the colour by wearing black dinky heels & black earrings, here's how I styled it...

With regards to makeup, omg I had literally 30 mins to get myself ready, in that time I had to iron, do my makeup & my hair. I did manage it, but I'm not so sure how.

Face: Revlon colorstay applied lightly with 187, Bourjous gold bronzing powder

Cheeks: Bodyshop cream bronzing stick & Bodyshop warm dusk powder.

Eyes: Carbon smoked out all over the lid, Nars albatross to highlight. UD 24.7 liner in Zero on upper & lower lashline. Bodyshop super volume mascara in black.

Lips: Bodyshop listick #64 mixed with Gosh Darling. L'oreal Cappuccino lipliner. Ooo & I dabbed some Carmex on in the car! :)

For my hair... I just started backcombing in a hurry, big hair always looks good. I clipped the front bit back with some clips and voila.

I would like to have spent a little more time on my eyes... but oh well, sometimes less is more! :)

I'm wearing these disc earrings today, they are just SO pretty!

These red ones will look fabulous with the Sevilla dress from Isabella Oliver, I plan on hopefully wearing them tomorrow evening!

These off looking black ones, remind me a little of the All Saints style... very nice!

These white ones are probably my favourite, as they will go with anything and look superb against darker hair.

These black ones will look amazing when I have my hair pulled back. If you are blonde, you need to have black earrings in your life as they will really stand out against lighter hair.

This ring is just gorgeous... enough said.

FOTD & The Body Shop!

Today was the day of the exclusive Body Shop beauty bloggers event in London, it's the 2nd time I attended and again like the 1st one it was a hit! It was hosted at the Gallery in Sketch, the location and set up was just divine. It was so lovely to meet up with fellow blogaholics again! :)

This was the make up look I opted for....

I went for something quite subtle but with a little twist. I used lilac on my eyes which I find just makes hazel eyes POP!

Face: Revlon Colorstay - Mac msf natural

Cheeks: Barry M natural dazzle

Eyes: Urban decay Grifter (lilac) all over lid & Mayhem (purple) in the crease. Mac Humid on lower lashline. UD 24/7 liner in zero on outer upper lash & waterline.

Lips: Body Shop lipstick (64) - originally in the morning all I had on was some lip balm.

The Lipstick I am wearing is just GORGEOUS, I was having a good old rummage in the little goodie bag that they gave me and this shade (64) immediately grabbed my attention. It's the perfect grown up nude colour that doesn't look trashy! The texture is quite smooth and overall pleasant. I can't say much about the longevity or whether it's drying or not. But frankly I don't care. I just love the colour, it's like a cross between Mac's fresh brew which I love and Gosh Darling.

And here's what else was in the goodie bag, I have so much to fill you in on! The bodyshop are also launching a new and exciting organic skincare range which I can't wait for! I think I'm more obsessed with skin than I am with make up - most definitely! :)

How to store your accessories!

The space saving way!! Currently I am a bit short on space and I wanted to share with you a few ideas as I have had to downsize and store 75% of my stuff in storage! :(

EARRINGS

I store my earrings in an acrylic divided box from Muji, I coordinate them by colour or style. It's very easy for me to find something that I want as I can see everything properly.

It has a sliding lid to protect it from dust, I just sweep this box under the bed.


Or, you can hook your earrings onto a glass, mug or vase and display them on your dressing table.

NECKLACES

I store my necklaces hooked onto these inexpensive little hooks from Ikea, I currently have a canvas wardrobe so I have quite a few wooden panels to hook things onto. However, you can hook these hooks onto the inside of your wardrobe door, so once the doors are open everything is clearly displayed but out of the way.



Or, if you have drawer space you can lay your necklaces all neatly in a row. Furthermore Muji also do lots of various acrylic dividers, you can pop your necklaces into those.

Another tip: I used to display all of my necklaces onto a pinboard that I covered with pretty wallpaper, I would just hook them all onto the pins and had it hanging on my wall, it was a beautiful piece of art. However, the hubby did not appreciate it - he saw it as clutter! :)

RINGS AND BANGLES

A way to store your rings is hooked onto a hoop earring, none of them go flying around. I have currently just popped my bracelets into a box which slides under the bed.

Or, If you have drawer space, you can pop all of your rings into a box and even display it on your dressing table.

You can also store your bangles neatly in a row, I do this by popping a circular cylinder shape inside them, you can use the inside of a kitchen towel or in my case I had a pretty olive oil box that I saved.

SCARVES

I folded mine up and displayed them upright into a cardboard box that was sent through the post with some clothes in it. It's amazing what you can do by recycling. You can store this in a drawer or even slip it under the bed.

Or, you can get a scarf hanger and slot them all in, however I find that this gets quite bulky and takes up more space than the folded option.

BELTS

I have just hooked mine over the wooden panel of the inside of the wardrobe, but a more practical way to store them is on a belt hanger. Of course, they aren't all of my belts! :)

BAGS

It's nice to have your bags all laid out but it takes up too much space, I got this fabric cream box from Ikea. I folded the bags neatly and put them inside. I just pop these inside the cupboard. However, I find it's nice to have a nice chest at the end of the bed or in front of a window to store bags in.

SHOES

Currently they are placed neatly on a little shelf in the wardrobe, nothing special about it. I sometimes overlap the shoes - but that's quite obvious so didn't feel the need to show you a picture. When I had the space, I would either store them in a shoe cupboard or a chest.

The mysterious moisturiser revealed...

OLAY BEAUTY FLUID

Dermatologically tested & PH neutral.

You must know somebody in your life who uses this moisturiser. Again, this moisturiser was recommended to me by my mother in law. She has been using it for the past 25 years! Her skin is amazing, she is over 50 and has hardly any wrinkles, no redness or spots & scars.

I did SO much research on this before I started using it and came to the conclusion that I would give it a try. At first, I disregarded the product thinking that it just wasn't enough or right.
However, I have been using it for the past month and it's the most non offensive moisturiser that I have ever used.

It's very light in texture, kind of watery. This is about the amount I use on my face.

It is instantly absorbed into the skin making it feel supple, moist and fresh. Furthermore it is non greasy and dries to a matt finish. I think it's such a perfect base just before make up. It smells a little bit like baby lotion/powder and overall is a pleasant scent.



In addition to this is the price.

200ml - £4.79

It is available in the normal/dry/oily/combination OR sensitive.
I didn't purchase the sensitive as I read that the normal one is also suitable for sensitive skin and my little experiment has proved that it is. Just google reviews on the beauty fluid to find out more.

I have tried TOO many moisturisers and seriously can't afford to keep re purchasing expensive skincare that do or don't work. I needed something simple, something that was moisturising yet not overpowering. In the past I was using really rich moisturisers that in a sense was too moisturising that it was giving me tiny little bumps near my laughter lines as it was settling in them.

The reason why I put this post off for so long is because, I didn't want anybody to rush out and buy it without me reviewing it properly. I have tested it, and even just before or after my menstrual cycle it didn't break me out!!!!

DISCLAIMER: What works for me, may not work for you.... but, this is definitely worth a try, it wont harm or irritate your skin as it's so gentle and soothing. If you are thinking of purchasing make sure you get the 100ml first to see if you like it. Even if you don't, it makes an amazing moisturiser to use on your legs after you have shaved. I have just finished my tube and I'm off to get a new one!!
