DIY Hot Drink Station...

This is a storage post.

Today I attempted to organise everything in my kitchen. I ditched the traditional 'tea', 'coffee', 'sugar' containers as I had 10million types of tea and coffee (slight exaggeration but you get the idea) and created a 'Hot Drink' station...

Here's what it looks like in the corner of my kitchen. A one stop station for any hot drink, I love that everything is on display and I can find everything I'm looking for. It also makes me feel special as it makes me feel a little bit like I'm in a hotel. :)

It was a bit of a DIY job as I made a shelf from some of the left over wood that we had from our worktop, arranged some jars on top, contained my teas in a basket and labeled everything with my Dymo machine.

Here's a list of everything I included in the jars:
  • Douwe Egberts Coffee
  • Nescafe
  • Turkish Coffee
  • Hot Chocolate
  • Sugar
  • A bowl with tea spoons and a tea strainer

Inside the 'Tea' Basket I have many different types of tea including good ol' Tetley, Earl grey, peppermint, chamomile, Linden, Green, Jasmine, and a few random ones from Pukka.

And on the side I have my honey pot to sweeten up my drinks if I'm not taking sugar!

The jars are ones I have kept over the past few months, the one containing the sugar is a large Yankee candle holder, the two small ones are from the 'Douwe Egberts' coffees, I think one had candy in them and one is a regular mason jar. The tea basket was from TK Maxx.

I haven't fully finished yet, one can say I went a bit crazy labeling. 'Monica would be proud!'

Are you inspired to do a 'Hot Drinks Station' and what's your favourite hot drink?

I have two favourite hot drinks at the moment, one being 'Douwe Egberts' Coffee and the other being 'Earl Grey' tea.

What a creative way of organizing your hot drinks, Muhsine! I drink a TON of tea but it takes up an entire shelf... wish I could put together something like this myself.

may I ask how to clean up a candle jar/cup after the candle is burnt down to the bottom? any tips or tricks? Sometimes I want to reuse them as pen/brush holders but don't have a clue how to remove the wax residue.

thanks in advance!!

Wow :D Lol at the crazy labelling system, but this is such a cute idea. My house, and kitchen, is so small I could never do something like this. Instead I lust over beautifully laid out designs like yours!
