Living in the moment..

Spur of the moment and I have new hair. I got a half head of ash blonde (foil) highlights and I am rather pleased. :)



I always used to have my hair like this, but have kept my hair super dark for a couple of years now and it feels nice to have a change. I usually lighten up for summer but have rebelled and have lightened for winter. It's not a drastic change but a change nevertheless.

Have you done anything spontanious recently? If you haven't you should.

Hmmm...no I have not been spontaneous at all recently! Haha, I guess I need to break out of my boring-ness :)

You really look gorgeous with blonde in your hair...and you're one of those people that can really suit a large range of hair colors! I'm jealous!

im considering having mine lighter too but I dyed it so much before im scared lol. my hair went like STRAW! so i'm just tryna get my chicken hidden first before I dye it lol.

I'm naturally blonde and I'm having my hair done on saturday and instead of my usual light ash blonde I'm toning down to honey blonde...I hope I like it!

ooh lovely mashallah I think the ash colour looks nice againts your golden bronze undertones but also since your a little paler its not too matchy matchy I love how its not brassy eeewww good job what do u think of cheryl cole's new hair I didnt like it to begin with but now I do I think it goes well in the winter when people go paler

I started highlighting my hair from almost black in August and hoping to be at my perfect colour by Christmas. Thinks it's fun to break the 'darker for winter' rule!

Love the hair colour - I really liked it in your old photos - it suits you so well! I keep wanting highlights (especially when I see pictures of JLo, Jessica Alba or Kate Beckinsale) - however, my hair does not take well to highlighting - and is so much glossier when left natural :-(

Like it a lot! I just did my own hair the other day and we took a similar route with the ash tones and highlights. What products are you using for hair care? I haven't found a good shampoo that I can call my staple, which is sad because I work for Aveda and I'm sick of all their stuff

Haven't done anything spontaneous recently, though one time I decided I wanted wavy hair, so I just went and permed it =) I've been thinking about doing it again...missing the waves!

love your blog :) two questions... one is regarding foundation, what's your absolute favorite? I have combination skin with an oily t-zone but dry cheeks and I've just started trying out different foundations... I was eyeing one by Bobbi Brown since I love her other products but I'm just not sure... also, what's the best self tanner you've tried? I'm of European descent and used to tan at a tanning salon (eek) but I am now very afraid of the dangers... I want to achieve a nice glow without harmful uv rays but not turn out orange or streaky!

I just found your blog! Love it.

I'm way too chicken to dye my hair light, I did it once and I almost passed out after I saw it. It's not that it looked bad I was just in shock. I looked so different! I always stick with my dark brunette hair :)

That was a great decision, going lighter, it's nice to mix it up every now and then, plus your highlights lighten your face a bit imo! :)
