Out with the old...
Bye bye my loved ones!
In with the new!
The moisturiser my husband uses is by Neutrogena and is the oil free version. I actually purchased it for myself about 3 months ago, used it once and that was that.
Why oil free? Well, up until 2 years ago I never EVER got spots, when I did I started wearing foundation which made it worse. My skin without makeup is normal, however when I wear make up I get a oily t-zone, therefore oil free products without any spot fighting ingredients is great for me, as I don't want my skin to get used to salicylic acid.
I got the oil free face wash and make up remover to match, they are currently on offer for 3 for 2 at Boots. The moisturiser is actually very moisturising and the face wash lathers up nicely. The make up remover is nice but I still feel like I need a eye makeup remover when I wear a lot of make up.
I have wanted to try the Clarisonic but can not justify the price, I got this face brush from the Botanics range at Boots, it's really soft and in my opinion does the same thing. It works really well with the face wash...
I am currently using the Garnier grape water eye makeup remover which I have repurchased a few times, it's gentle and effective.
My overflowing skin care box is now filled with what I need. It actually feels quite liberating.
Sometimes you have to put your faith in to science (in my case Neutrogena) as natural isn't always best.
From now on....
- I will stick to this regimen for 2 months solid even if my skin goes bananas.
- I will not pick and squeeze at my spots even if they are shouting at me!
My advice? Stick to what works for you and don't experiment!

also, i tried an AHA/BHA cleanser once and it gave me such a horrible reaction, as well. i'm steering clear of those from now on!

And I don't think I've ever seen those Neutrogen products or the Garnier makeup remover! I saw a cleanser that looks similar to the one you have here in canada but it has a different name
Hope this stuff works for you! x
@Mouldy Fruit - Yes we should meet up again, deffo :)
@Sana I hardly use any of the cream, I find it's quite creamy so a little goes a long way. I think
it's just preference.

I've had quite a skin product round-about this year...I think there is a certain chemistry to it - if you mess with the combination, it's hard to get back to nice skin!
I had FINALLY figured out a routine that worked for me...but I made a couple of product switches and lifestyle changes - and since then - those products don't work for me anymore.
I went to a facialist - and spent $400 on facials and new skin care (Dermalogica and Yon-ka) but my skin was still far from flawless.
I tried to get my skin care back to the products that USED to work for me - did that patiently for 2 months - but still have problem skin.
Instead of wasting any more time or money, I've booked an appointment with a dermatologist. Hope he's able to help me!
All the crap out, and a solid system in place is the best feeling :)
I am also a picker, especially when I am nervous or stressed.
XOXO

It seems that whatever I seem to like and works for my skin always ends up being discontinued.
I had a perfect toner and it was d/c'd so now I have to find one that works just as well.
I have found my favourite moisturiser and that does me well enough!
I have never used Neutrogena skincare after using a makeup remover than nigh on blinded me but for some reason I really want the grapefruit face wash.
Hope these work for you. Neautrogena is a pretty good brand so im sure it will
Unfortunately I can't use that neutrogena cleanser; it's way too harsh and drying for my skin. I haven't found any Neutrogena product I could use, but I wish I could since I need something cheap and everything that works for me is so expensive :-(
Looking forward to your updates on the new routine
3 step by Clinique is best the skincare ever. ♥ It works out 16p a day.

Btw, we use the same eye makeup remover, I really love this one since it's extremely affordable and effective (and I go through those bottles like noone's business)!

LOve the idea of the brush, have you seen Avons Tallow Wood Facial Massager?
x
Hope you get on OK!
