China Glaze - Peachy Keen

The first time I wore this it was SO streaky and hard to apply. This time round I used a base coat (Caviar Nails Inc) and it was fine, but I did use 3 coats to achieve this level of opaqueness.

The colour is peach with a slight neon feel to it which is almost impossible to capture on camera. For some reason this reminds me of the 80's, I really love this colour as it's perfect for Summer!

Yep, I cut my nails SO short and I can't wait for them to grow back..

Have you tried 'Peachy Keen' and do you think the colour is worth the effort?

I think it's totally worth it! I love Peachy Keen. I had the same experience with it the first time, you have to be patient to get it looking good :) Good base coat is definitely essential with this stubborn formula!

I haven't tried it yet..but it looks really nice. I wish there was a blush that colour...or maybe I'm mad to want that colour on my face?

@Mercedes noooo, it's a lovely colour, Illamasqua's 'Lover' blush is quite similar :)

I absolutely adore this colour, really pastel orange, very unusual. I wish I could grow my nails long, even though there's a fine line between long and nice and long and tacky, I have to keep them short because I play the piano - I make sure I keep them pretty with nail varnish though!
Here's my NOTD for Peachy Keen a while back!

WOW! That colour is perfect for summer, especially against nice tanned, sun-kissed skin, which you naturally have anyway LOL. I will be definatly purchasing a base coat with it too :)

That's a gorgeous colour - I have one very similar from Inglot, but it's a matte formulation.

Yes, I think it worth it. I like it more as pedicure color for summer. It looks much more quiet on pictures. For me it looks like bright orange even neon a little bit. I did 2 coats and it was very opaque and thick
I got the china glaze peachy keen with my mini up in the air set. love the color in the bottle but did find it to be the most streaky out of all colors. Applied it to my toes, streakiness was barely noticeable. I still love the color though!

I love the colour but hate hard to apply polishes, I haven't got the time or patience to apply three coats!

HEY DOLL! I have this too and I originally bought it months ago due to the swatches, however, like you said it has a neon tint which I wasn't wanting. I love the way it looks captured on camera AND in the bottle but when it dries, it dries brighter and not like the
milky peach shade I was hoping for. Its good for a brighter peach but Im currently into the pastel shades more. Is also frustrating to apply! Pretty color overall though. Hoping my swap item Models Own polish in Peach Sherbert will be what I was looking for! Cant wait til it gets here :] ♥
Love love loveee this colour !!!!!!!

@Shortiee No I have never tried that but it sounds like a good idea! x

@shimmering2light I love peachykeen on my toes!

@Sara yes the slight neon to it doesn't show up that well in photos, hopefully your models own will be just like you want, you will have to keep me informed, I have never tried models own polishes! X

I really wanted to like it, but I don't. It's much brighter and darker than I thought it should be (it looks different on the nails from what you see in the bottle, don't you agree?). It just looks ridiculous on my fair skin, and it reminds me of doll skin. :/ :)

just bought my first China Glaze called "For Audrey" yesterday and i LOVE them ...I think I might go pick out a few more - they are such good quality and the price is pretty decent too

Gorgeous peachy tone, bet it would look amazing with a tan too!

Sad to hear about the application though... sometimes they most unique shades are the trickiest to apply, so it maybe worth the effort...but then again, it's ridiculous that the biggest nail polish brands make hard-to-apply nail polishes more often than drugstore ones...! Guess I 'm torn on this one!
