Rouge Volpute #2 Sensual Silk

Yves Saint Laurent 'Rouge Volupte' Lipstick SPF 15 - Sensual Silk No. 2

I recently received this in a swap from Hinna, and am so glad I did - I heart the gold packaging! It's a pinky pale nude with slight mauve undertones. It's incredibly light weight, and literally melts on your lips as you glide it on.



The colour is very similar to Mac 'Hue' lipstick, but a more opaque and vibrant version. I love Hue, so I love this colour. It works perfectly for my skin tone for a barely there lip. I would recommend trying lipsticks on in store and walking out into natural sunlight to decide whether it suits you or not.

I just bought #30 last week and it's LOVE :) You have to get it. I have #1 and want #2, they're similar but both so pretty!

Ahhh lucky you, I will get it when I save up my pennies :) Yes #1 & #2 are quite similar, I tried nearly all of them at the counter!

I want them all, they're stunning. This was my first YSL lipstick and I love it so much. If I could afford it, I'd buy every single lip product YSL made. They're amazing and the packaging just makes me feel so glam when I'm applying them! xx

I really wanted to purchase one of these, i went to the department store tried it on my lips & had to dash to the loo to throw up. I've never had a lipstick have that effect on me before lol

@Jade thanks :) no I never use a lip scrub, I just use a flannel or my towel to wipe my lips when I come out of the shower to get rid of any dead skin! x

I have the #5 "Divine Mahogany", have done a post on it, it is absolutelly gorgeous, it can be worn darker or a little lighter if you press a tissue on the lips. Great color, veeeery pigmented :)))

Oh wowwzaaa this is so pretty!! I've never tried these rouge volupte lipsticks before but I think I need to investigate. Is it bad that I want it even more because of the beautiful packaging?

LOVE YSL lipsticks!!! Bought my first one, No. 3 just before Christmas and fell in love with the texture and richness of it. You are so right, it glides and it's so smooth and velvety. Must have a look at no.30 next time I shop. :) x

OOHHH! I love Rouge Voluptes, unfortunately since they are out of my price range, I have only ever tried them at Sephora. I love the creaminess as you apply them. I really want to try #7, it looks like such a pretty pink!
