Product Rave: Olay UV Fluid SPF15

I have been using the Olay complete care daily sensitive UV fluid for over a week now, usually I would wait longer until I rave about a product, but I feel certain this product is amazing so I wanted to declare that as soon as possible.

The reason why I switched to this is because my Elemis maximum moisture cream had ran out and I didn't fancy spending £35 on a day cream that didn't even have SPF. I had used the Olay Beauty Fluid in the past and really liked it, so the last time I was in Boots I decided to pick up the version with SPF, and am so glad that I did. Not only have I been loving it, but so has my husband. We can't get over how moisturising yet light it is all whilst protecting our face.

The fluid itself is white that becomes sheer once blended, it looks gloopy but it's actually a very light consistency. I would describe the scent as a subtle mix between baby lotion and sunscreen.

Once the cream has been rubbed in, it becomes invisible on your skin. It doesn't leave any sort of greasy or oily residue, it's pure matte and looks like your own skin. My skin feels like it has had a moisture drink and doesn't feel tight or dry at all. The normal beauty fluid didn't give me this much moisture, I would say the UV fluid gives you double the moisture whilst still being light.

It's also a fantastic base for make up and friendly to your pocket. This product has been around for years and I am gutted I have just discovered it, what a slow coach!

Please note: SPF moisturisers can be quite tricky, as some of them tend to break me out, neither me or my husband have had a bad reaction to the UV fluid. Skincare is very personal, so what works for me may not work for you. Use at your own risk.

Price: £4.99 - 100ml

Have you tried the Olay UV fluid? Do you have any Olay favourites?

Hi hun, that oil of olay product looks promising, I am also looking for a lotion for the daytime. Have you ever tried there new Product called Olay Professionals Prox Intensive Wrinkle Protocol. I just did a post on that product. Before I post I usually investigate the product first. I am an aspiring Beauty Editor from New York. My Beauty Blog is practice for the career I am aspiring for. Check me out at emanticoff.blogpot.com(Prettyinpinkgloss). You have great skin. I have been trying to find that PH balancing soap you did a post on. Did you buy that at a pharmacy? Hope to hear from you. Chow for now.

I tried that exact same product after reading a couple of other rave reviews. I can't express how much my skin didn't like it! It made me all red, my whole face felt like it was burnt and it was so itchy after just one use! I stopped using it and my skin calmed down straight away. Gave it to my mum to try and she had the exact same reaction :( Glad it works for you though, it's a bargainous product.

@e manticoff I haven't tried any complex creams by olay, they seem promising, maybe one day!

@Jellyminx Oh noo!! I'm really sad to hear that, it may be that you had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients, I'm glad you stopped it and it went away :( everyone is different :(

I won this in a Superdrug competition a few years ago and really liked it. Such great value! I also use Clinique City Block which is great as a daily SPF but the Olay product is a lot more moisturising while still offering sun protection :)x
I have the same problem - some SPF moisturisers break me out (including Clinique). But I've been using Aveeno Postively Radiant in SPF30 for 3 weeks now - and I'm in love - it's a great make-up base, and I love knowing that I have a strong SPF.

this is my staple. it used to break me out at the beginning but my skin got used to it, and now it's a staple for me. it's not greasy and shiny and provides enough moisture for my dry skin!
The Olay range is not sold anymore in France so no possiblity to try it :(
I do find my personal HG sunscreen : one from Avene in the Cleanance range. It has a SPF 30, designed for acne-prone skin and comes with a handy pump that deliver the perfect amount of product. It smells great too which is a bonus.
I may review it soon :)

My mum, who has amazing skin has been using this for years (back when it was oil of ULAY). I've tried it but eventually strayed. However, I'm on the hunt for a day cream with SPF (my beloved Vanishing Cream from Lush is lacking in this department) and your post has reminded me that I need to check the Olay aisle!

I've used this for just over a year without changing to anything else and I think it would take a lot to change my mind!
It doesn't give me breakouts and I have to have something with SPF in it. Plus it's super cheap! x

I've been using Aveeno positively radient spf30 and although it looks great on my skin, it looks like my skin doesn't like it much! The breakout I got from this was terrible so I might give this one a try. Thank you :)
I used to use it a few years ago but then it did start breaking me out a bit! Thanks re the eyelash extensions, I am still loving them a few days on. Oh and btw I copied you and bought the Sun and Moon blush. It is so pretty!

I use the Olay Complete Care Multi-Radiance daily illuminating UV fluid which is SPF 15 and I LOVE it.

So much so that I can't even fully describe how much I love it! LOL

I try all sorts of other things, but I come back to this one time and time again. It smells lovely, its a lovely smooth texture and is a great base for make up.

It's got something in it that's makes your skin glow. I want to say like a super, super sheer shimmer but its not even that. I can't explain it but I can't recommend it highly enough.

Be careful with this product!! This used to be my HG moisturizer but they've recently changed the formulation for god knows what reason and now it makes me break out like crazy. I have heard of countless experiences similar to mine that happened after the formulation change, especially to sensitive skin and acne-prone skin people. However, Olay has recently said that they are launching this same moisturizer along with the reformulated one, except the one with the old, GOOD formulation will be labeled 'Original Formula' or something like that. So be careful and check the ingredients!
It contains parabens, so I would NEVER try anything like this and I wouldn't advise anyone not to. x
