The Flick!

My cameras usb cable went walkabouts, but has been safely found, :) Hooray! Here is the look I was rocking on Monday. I flicked out the ends of my hair with my GHD IV styler and opted for a dewy subtle make up look.

Face - Bourjois 10hr Sleep effect foundation. Cheeks - Nars 'Casino' to contour, and Body shop 'Cool Dusk' blusher trio. Lips - Maybelline Ambre rose & L'oreal Cappuccino lipliner. Eyes - Mac 'Naked Lunch' e/s all over lid with a light dusting of 'Romp' in the crease. UD 24/7 Liner in 'Zero' on upper lash line. Benefit Eye Bright on waterline & L'oreal Voluminous mascara.

And.....

On Sunday I used my GHD IV styler again this time to create loose flicked out curls.

The look was relaxed. Very relaxed. I wore baggy boyfriend jeans with my white plimsolls. It's nice to be casual and not so 'done up' all the time.

What other looks do you do with your straighteners? And, do you predominantly dress casual or 'girly'?

Wow - I love your hair in the second pic - that is one look I definitely want to try - how did you do it? I tried curling with a straightener before, and I was SO hopeless!

Whenever I go to the mall, the people from the straightening iron booth always offer to curl my hair for me - maybe I'll let them next time!

Oh - and I love to dress girly :-)

@Ella pretty Thank you! It took me a while as I only really used my straighteners for straightening. but, seeing everybody do fantastic things with them, I wanted in so I experimented and 'kind of' figured out how to do it :)

You should def let those mall people have a go, use it as a lesson and go home and experiment! X

I love how you had your hair flipped out, that is adorable! I usually use a straighter to curl my hair and it seems as though it holds better than if I curl my hair the traditional way, with a curling iron. And of course if I am going to go through the time of fixing up my hair, I am going to dress girly!

You are gorgeous lady :-)

Couldn't believe the lipstick you had on in the first photo. I'm such the lipstick snob...maybe I shouldn't be. That color is divine on you!

@Fennoffashion I find that it holds better too, but I do use hairspray :) so I can't be exact. Girly is nice :)

@Prettyface thanks sweetie, the lipstick just goes with anything and makes me feel better :)

LOve the flicks.
I do use the IVs to do curls but as my hair is so long the curl is never as smooth as yours in the pics.

Also.. i tend to do more burning of my ear tips that curling lol! x

I was never good at curling my hair with an iron, that's why I just had my hair permed instead~!

I dress girly most of the time. :) I barely ever dress casual when I'm out lol. xx

You look great~! ♥

Your hair looks fabulous here! When I curl my hair with straighteners and use hairspray after wards, my hair falls straight as opposed to using curlers or heat rollers because I have long thick hair =(. I love to dress girly but not all the time. Maybe somedays I'll have a rock chick day and others I might prefer a nostalgic look =P. X

Wow, I love your hair! I think I need to experiment with mine more, it's pretty boring at the moment!

I try everything with my ghd's curls, waves etc but my hair definatly gets more split ends because of them and I always use heat protecter! oh well!

Your so flippin pretty! I love your hair like this! Whenever I try to flip out my ends.. it doesn't work that well. I want to buy a new flat iron thats a little thinner and rounded around the edges so I can curl and flip better. :) I love curling/waving and crimping my hair with the flat iron. I try not to do it too often though because I always have to flat iron my hair straight first, so its like double the damage.

I'm addicted to straightening but if my curls could look like this. . , I think I would be cured. Yours looks so healthy and glossy here. This would take me hours!

Your hair and makeup look gorgeous!!! Even though I love being made up, I still enjoy a relaxed style better. I have a favor to ask you.. Can you please do a review of Bourjois 10hr Sleep effect foundation and what shade do you wear?

Do you have the wide styler or the thinner one? I have the wide plates and have yet to try the thinner plates with curling xoxo
Muhsine Emin said…
@Cherish I have both, I had the wide ones first but i got the thin ones to do more things with it, the wide ones just good for straightening not curls!

When I first started trying to do the "beach waves" and flipped curls with my hair I thought it was going to be SO difficult. I usually straighten my hair and that takes forever (I have naturally wavy hair but it isn't pretty left to dry naturally). With this new trend I'm so excited, my hair takes 20 minutes tops. I let it dry naturally over night and then curl it in the AM it works out great. It looks even better relaxed the 2nd day.

Your hair is beautiful.
