FOTD with Revlon colorstay!

Here's what I'm wearing on my face today:
Face: Revlon colorstay foundation & BB creamy concealer under the eyes.
Cheeks: Bobbi Brown cream blush stick in Dusty Mauve (a brownish colour) to contour & Elf all over color stick in "Pink Lemonade" (a frosty pink colour) on the apples of my cheeks.
Lips: Revlon Nude Attitude lipstick (my first time wearing this too, I actually really like it so far)
Eyes: Benefit eye bright on waterline & inner corners of my eye. Body shop shimmer cubes applied with fingers on my eyelid & bodyshop define & lengthen mascara.
My initial thoughts on the Revlon colorstay is that it's a really thick foundation compared to the Bobbi Brown foundations that I am used to. It actually feels like you have foundation on your face, the way I have solved this is to apply it with a Mac 187 brush for a lighter application. However, the coverage is amazing, I have never really got this with any other. Yesterday, I set it with some msf natural & it lasted all day, once I came to remove my makeup I actually saw everything coming off. Whereas with the Bobbi Brown ones they tend to disappear more quickly.
The texture of it is quite gloopy, it does not run and only a tiny amount is needed as a little goes a long way. The finish of it is actually matt and creates a fantastic base. Even though I have dry skin I opted for the combination/oily option as I decided this would be more suitable as I would probably wear this on a night out where I become hot & sweaty anyway.
I really love this foundation but I don't think I will be wearing this on a daily basis, as it's just too much for me. I prefer a lighter formula during the day. However, I am yet to try this mixed with my moisturiser to sheer it down. If that doesn't work then I will be re purchasing either the BB moisture rich foundation or tinted moisturiser. I do think that this is a fantastic product for the price, I would definitely wear this on a special occasion where I want my face to be flawless and I will more than likely repurchase! A big thank you to Anna for persuading me to buy this! :)
UK price: £11.74
Hope this helps!
