Illamasqua Powdered Metals - Erzule
Illamasqua launches it's new powdered metals on July the 13th. Powdered metals are a range of 3 soft metallic loose powders for face and body. They create a veil of subtly golden tones or can be layered on for an intense gilded look.
The 3 choices are:
ERZULE - Voodoo Goddess of beauty - Golden bronze with a brown base (great for olive and black skin tones)
THALIA - Greek Goddess of poetry - Warm bronze with a gold undertone (great for medium skin tones)
BEBHIONN - Irish Goddess of pleasure - Light bronze with a pink undertone (great for pale skin)
I was sent the Erzule as I have Olive skin and a tanned complexion. The packaging has a screw top black lid on a flat round container, very sleek looking and appropriate for the product itself.
The product itself has 15g / 5oz.

The powder itself is covered with a sieve that requires a little shake whilst the lid is on to get the product out.

It also comes with a little round puff, which is nice to have on hand if you want to quickly apply colour to your body...

Erzule is a lovely brown bronze with hints of gold in it, the powder is very versatile and can be applied on eyelids, cheeks, all over the face and body... It has no glitter but also doesn't have an obvious matt finish, it just creates lovely sheen. It can also be mixed with a little moisturiser to create a dewy glow...

Below is a swatch...

The swatch below this text is where I have applied it on my hands using a SE Mac 129 brush, it's very pigmented so you don't need too much product, which is great news as it means it will last longer!

I wore this yesterday as a contour bronzer, I have to say Erzule reminds me a little of Nars Laguna but a more intense version of it. I really liked it and will be using it for that purpose more often, I also dusted a little on my collar bone which looked lovely too. This would look lovely as a highlight on someone with chocolate brown skin, I can't wait to see how this looks on me when I get a tan and get even darker :)
I will be posting pictures of me wearing this in my next make up look post...
There's a powdered metal for every complexion!

Does it give a metallic sheen on application"?
