My 4 Week Challenge!

My commitment for 4 weeks will be as follows...
Starting on Monday 23rd March!
My aim: To lose 3-4kg and try to tone up my body!

Every morning:

  • 3 sets of 15 squats with dumbells
  • 3 sets of 25 sit ups

I will keep a food diary! This way I can keep track of what I eat, I will aim to make more sensible choices and eliminate junk food from my diet!

I will walk after my train journey on my way to work, this should take about 30-40 mins! Note to self: Do not wear heels.. or be clever and carry flats in your bag! 5 days a week - this should help my legs - big time! I will see how this goes :)

Once a week to do a fitness video regime or dancing for 1 hour.

I will keep you updated with the results.. Wish me luck :) x

Hi there, just thinking 4 weeks isn't long to get major results. I'm in ww and I lose on average 1lb a week not a lot but over 7 weeks that's half a stone!

The food diary is a great idea I do this every day.You really will be shocked at what you put in your mouth every day, however when you are writing it down it really makes you stop and think "Do I really need this?". Giving up sweets and chocolate for me was really the turning point with weight loss. I could have a bar of chocolate or lots more dinner!! I don't deprive myself of choccie but when I feel the need I go for a curly wurly (swear by them, low in kcal).
I'm sure you don't actually need to lose much weight if any but coming into the Summer I think we all want to look a bit better as the layers of clothes start to come off.
I think keeping the diary combined with the walking should be enough to shed the few kg and you'll be even more fabulous by Summer!!

Good luck :) Im trying to tone up for a wedding and my holiday so im starting light with some light weights and crunches. I've also promised the mr i'd go running in the evenings. I think it will helps to have someone to keep you motivated. It might be also good to take before and after pictures for your own records so you can review your progress x

Kerry is so right with the before and after pictures, I took ones at the very start in bra and pants and take more every 4 weeks. It really puts what you're losing into perspective, otherwise you might not see it and lose motivation.
I hate exercise but I do walk for around 30 minutes a day and I've still lost almost a stone in 9 weeks. The key is cutting out the junk, cutting down your portion size (us girls shouldn't be eating the same size as our men) and drinking plenty of fluids (doesn't have to be water, I hate plain water)
You can do it girl, lets all get fit and healthy for summer :)

just some advice, leave a day between sit ups, or anything where your muscles are used strenuously, such as the use of dumbells. it's quite annoying to have to do this, and you probably won't want to leave a day between them but trust me you should, it's dangerous not to. and ineffective, as your muscles have no time to relax if you work them everyday..also..it will hurt like CRAZY..especially doing sit ups every day, i used to before i knew not to, and my stomach constantly hurt, even when walking, sneezing etc....def leave a day between.also you may want to try interval training, the quickest way to burn fat...do a minute of running, 2 mins walking, etc etc on your treadmill or wherever, ten mins of interval training is better than 30 mins just running!! good luck xx
