New Makeup Storage!

A trip to Ikea a couple of days ago inspired me to have a makeup organisation revamp! I was using the acrylic Muji drawers but it started looking too cluttered, I preferred the baskets I was using but Esra kept grabbing them on the way out! :) So, here's my new solution!

The Ikea wooden 'Moppe' drawers, previously named 'Fira'. I contemplated on whether to cover them in fabric or paper, and went mental trying to choose a colour theme then decided to keep it simple. Less is more as they say!

I spray painted mine a matte white, sanded it a little after to make it look a tiny bit distressed, and added dymo labels to make finding my makeup easier.

Here's a side view, I love my single rose in a glass bottle that used to have Iced coffee in it. Recycling at its best!

I used cotton bud boxes as dividers inside the drawers to keep my lipsticks upright. I used a letter holder from BHS (very old) to store my palettes. I used a candle holder to store my everyday brushes, all the candle holders are from a local shabby chic boutique.

I crocheted a bunting not to long ago, and finally put it up this morning! I LOVE IT!

Hope you are having a lovely day!

How are you storing your makeup?

I love the wooden organiser you're storing your palettes in. Where's it from?

I'm using Muji Drawers for my make up storage, pics here http://www.beautyandlechic.com/2012/03/make-up-storage-part-deux.html

I love your take on the Ikea Moppe drawers. I need to figure out a better makeup storage solution. I might try the baskets because my muji containers just aren't working for me.

I hope you don't mind but I've bought a set of Moppe drawers which I am going to follow your lead on and customize, slightly differently from yours. Thanks so much for the idea.
