Bobbi Brown Extra Repair and More...

Bobbi Brown has launched a new foundation called 'Extra Repair' along with some of the skincare to match...

The skincare is lovely and luxurious, although when the cream is used in conjunction with the foundation makes my face a little too shiny and greasy looking and even caused me to breakout a little as it was too much moisture. However, it makes a nice bedtime treat. The serum is nice and light and can be used alone in the morning with the foundation.

The Extra repair foundation has become one of my favourites...

It creates a lovely dewy glow, I apply it with my hands as it warms it up and it blends in seamlessly but I do set it with powder. I have set it with the Chanel pressed powder in the picture below. (You can slightly see the tiny little bumps I got.)

The consistency is a thick paste and it offers medium coverage which is buildable. It looks natural and offers a youthful dewy finish and SPF 25 which is fantastic. It lasts all day on me, but offers more longevity when set with powder, I usually just dust over my t zone as I like the dewy finish everywhere else.

(Lips: Mac 'Snob' & 'Creme Cup')

I have tried the 'Moisture Rich', 'Luminous Glow', 'Skin' and 'Tinted Moisturiser' by Bobbi Brown and I love them all as much. I would recommend this for dry skin and mature skins, if you have oily skin I would steer clear and perhaps try the 'Skin Foundation' instead.
I use the shade 'natural' and it's perfect for my NC30skin tone, I love the fact that it's slightly yellow toned as opposed to pink, Bobbi has really nailed the colour options and offers a nice range for deeper skin tones too.

I didn't get on so well with the foundation brush as it applies the foundation quite streaky and am quite disappointed with it.

I have also been testing some of Bobbi Browns eye shadows, whilst initially being disappointed with it as it felt quite powdery due to 2 of them being matte, I now like them and depend on them for everyday use.
I really like the fact that you can personalise the palettes and switch them out or use them singly whenever you want.

I used the lighter shade (Bone) which offers a slight sheen all over the lid, the medium matte shade (Cement) in the crease, and the darker matte shade (Taupe) to add depth and on the lower lash line.

My favourites from Bobbi Brown are definitely the bases with the palette concept creeping quite close.

I wonder if the moisturizer had silicone or dimethicone in it? They tend to add shine and moisture in foundation bases that double as moisturizers, but they also block pores and make a lot of people break out.

I just did a Bobbi brown review, actually! I personally love her matte shadows and her shimmer bricks... haven't tried any of the base makeup but probably will in the future.

I've never really tried their foundations, but this review was very good and made me think I need to go there check them out! Especially if they have a good range of colors, since I'm quite pale!

I just read your comment about someone stealing your identity to get free products and I'm utterly shocked!! Who would do something like that?!

Thank you so much girls. :) xxx

@georia Yes it is quite heavy, but when I apply it with my hands it warms it up and really bends it in so it end up looking natural rather than caked :)

Hi Muhsine,

Could you please, please tell me which lip liner you are wearing in these pictures?

It's beautiful!

I've been looking for a colour like this - for about nine years! - so any help you are able to give would be brilliant.

Love to you and little Esra,

Sarah x

Their gel liner and crush are amazing. I love that all of her base has a yellow undertone to help blend with all skin types.

I just started using bobbi brown foundation and I love the way it makes my skin look. I used to use nothing and then I got my face mapped by facialmap.com. It showed some problem areas that could be fixed by the correct make-up and I am so pleased. I look better than ever.
The lip combo is amazing on you! I also love the Bobbi Brown products!!!
