Review: Bioderma Crealine H2O

Could it be the best make up remover?

Yes, I think so!

I have had the Bioderma makeup remover on my wish list for AGES ever since Lisa Eldridge mentioned it in her skin care video When my parents told me they were going to Paris for a couple of days, I asked them to bring me back a couple of bottles as it's really hard to get hold of in the UK so that I could put it to the test.

Product Features:
  • Soothing and emollient, thanks to cucumber extract.
  • No Perfume
  • Enables dirt to be emulsified and surface hydrolipidic film to be reconstituted.
  • Non detergent, non foaming, neutral pH.
  • Soap free.
  • Make-up remover and cleansing solution.
In my opinion yes, this IS the best makeup remover, and I have tried plenty! It removes every single trace of makeup without irritating it or leaving any residue. It feels like water on my skin yet it's very effective in removing dirt. My eyes are incredibly sensitive, so I have to be extremely careful about what I use and this perfect as it's very gentle. The Bioderma surprised me in actually how quick it removed eye make up, usually I am there for ages swiping away and using plenty of cotton rounds, with this I only needed 2 and did it in half the time. When I look in the mirror the next morning I have zero eye makeup lurking beneath my eyes, and usually I would detect a little bit. It works out great value for money too as 2 bottles of 500ml are approx £15. So, £7.50 for a bottle is fantastic and a little goes a long way and on that note I give this product a 10/10 and would definitely recommend.

Ingredients: WATER (AQUA), PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) FRUIT EXTRACT, MANNITOL, XYLITOL, RHAMNOSE, FRUCTOOLIGOSACCHARIDES, DISODIUM EDTA, CETRIMONIUM BROMIDE.

FYI: 2x 500ml bottles cost 18Euros from a pharmacy in Paris, I found it online HERE for UK & US customers, I think they ship to Europe too. I have never ordered from their site so cannot vouch for customer service or shipping info.

Have you tried the Bioderma Crealine H2O?

I have never heard of it, but I have to hunt it down! My eyes always burn when I remove my eye makeup, and I would love to find something that works and doesn't make me cringe at the thought of using it.

Since Lisa Eldridge introduced it in one of her videos, I cannot stop using this product. It takes off makeup wonderfully, cleanses and refreshes skin. A must-have product.

Been using it for One year now . for some reason in palestine they come only in small size which is 100Ml and it is the best make remover.

i was in paris a few weeks ago:( if only I knew about this earlier, I would've gotten it for sure. I stay in Riyadh and shipping cost is too expensive here...I use clinique take the day off at the moment and it's pretty decent...thanks for sharing Muhsine!

Are you using your new camera Muhsine? The photos are amazing!

I think I might look into this because although I don't wear much makeup, I find most waterproof mascaras to be a pain to remove!

It's the only makeup remover I use. My dermatologist recommended me Bioderma products over 2 years ago. It's so gentle on my sensitive skin. Love it!

This is the best makeup remover for me too. I live in Canada and the product is easy to find, lucky for us.

I posted a review on it on my blog (august 31).

Looks like this might be the one for me if it really does all you say. I absolutely hate oil-based make-up removers and that horrible greasy feeling they leave on my eyes, but water based ones tend not to get my make-up off properly. If only I had a trip to France coming up.

I'm so eager to try this- I have a question though: how it performs on removing mascara? Cause usually most water-based removers I've tried so far can't remove every bit of mascara, I have to run a cotton bud every morning to take off the excess that has slid under my eyes :(

yes,i have tried it however it failed to remove my mascara!

i love this as my makeup remover for eyes, but not for my face since it has caused some breakouts. As for the face, Im using La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar water, so good that leaves my skin smooth and no breakouts but when it comes to eye makeup removing wise ,Bioderma hands down :)

Wow this sounds amazing - I'll be in Paris with Top Sante this autumn so will have to get my hands on some! I use Avene extremely gentle cleanser which is similarly brilliant for £8, thought not so great for eye make-up!

@cbsg5861 - I have been using L'oreal Voluminous and it removes every single trace!!

@Senn - You may have tried a waterproof one, I have heard it doesn't remove waterproof mascara which makes sense as it water based.

@Victoria - It's a French brand, but I think you can get it in the States too, depends on the price you are prepared to pay or you could always get it online.

@Farah Ahh that's good to know! La Roche Posey is a brand I have heard nothing but great thins about.

@M - Just had a look, I don't think she stole my post, it's just a coincidence that we have both blogged about it at the same time, I know the blogger and she's not like that... but thanks for bringing it to my attention :)

I LOVE this cleanser! I only use it on my eyes as I have lots of other great cleansers for my face, but it is so gentle its amazing! I try not to use it for everywhere because I want it to last a long time, but I know once it runs out that it will definitely be repurchased! There is also a garnier one which is similar (although nothing can beat the bioderma) and available in the uk :)
