'Everyday' Make Up Storage...

Another storage post!

I was bored of my previous style of storage after going strong for 6 months, now my priorities have changed and when I apply my make up I have to be quick, super quick so I need everything at easy access and don't have time to rummage through baskets looking for a particular product.

I have been sticking to roughly the same products apart from the odd occasion when I decide to be adventurous, so I have decided to just keep my 'everyday' makeup on show.

I have used a rectangular basket to store my shizzle.

I now have space on my shelf for candles, yeyy! (Little things make me happy!) Although I prefer the shelf empty, so I put the candles away once I have stopped burning them. Not that you wanted to know, but I just HAD to tell you! :)

The foundations in the basket are Mac 'Face & Body', 'Studio Sculpt', Bobbi Brown 'Moisture Rich' and 'Extra Repair' which are my current favourites at the moment. A couple of bronzers one blush (Mac 'Well Dressed') and Mac 'Rose Quartz' msf for a highlight. I have included a few brushes and some pencils, concealers etc for good measure.

A few lipsticks my favourites at the moment being 'Hue' and 'Innocence Beware'.

And of course, all of my eyeshadow palettes, I have to have all of my palettes out 'just in case'!

The rest of my makeup is now stored in the acrylic Muji drawers inside my side table so everything is still close by and I can easily get to it if need be. I'm actually preferring this way at the moment as it means I actually get to use up what I have, A few things are almost running out, and normally I would alternate with a different products so I would have half finished pots of everything, now this wont be the case!

Do you have an everyday basket/box for your essential items?

This is a very good idea and it looks great - I am trying to tidy up my make up at the moment, and I think this could be a good plan for me, esp as I am always losing brushes... :-) x

That's a really good idea.. I like the idea of having it all accessable in a basket, my daily makeup is usually kept in a makeup bag but its not big enough to fit all of my 'just in case everything gets really messy!! I'm gonna look around for things to store my makeup more conveniently now, thanks for the idea! And gorgeous pucs too

At the moment my collection is small enough to keep at hand at all times. But it's quickly getting to the point where extra storage will be needed and I will probably end up doing something like this. I love wicker baskets, especially when they have makeup in them =p

I think I prefer your current makeup storage from anything else you've shown us at the past! I have no room to store all of my makeup in one place, so I have a small cardboard drawers unit which holds my everyday eye makeup- which I alternate every couple of months. It's pathetic, but until I make it to a bigger flat, it will do just fine ;) xx

omg snap I did this just yesterday I had too much makeup floating about and everyday makeup was a chore for me I couldn't be bothered to shuffle through so many things so I just decided to add my pallets foundations concealers and favorite blushes to one makeup bag and then hid e the rest I actually cant believe I never did it before!

No i don't have, but I need one fast.. my counter is a total and complete mess! It takes so much time to find my makeup products, if I had a basket it would be much easier. But I still have the find the right ones.

I adore reading make up storage ideas! This looks great, I currently have my make up/toiletries in an Ikea Helmer and a 5 drawer sterilite. Yours is much better and more convenient, am going to try and duplicate it somehow!!

Your little set up looks so cute. I used to have a kind of everyday makeup drawer but I've just recently switched my vanity up again (constantly rearranging my stuff is like a freakin hobby of mine!) so I just have things nice and easy to see and reach for everything

i noticed you have the bobbi brown moisture foundation and (i think)face base! i've been thinking about buying both of them -- but they're so expensive? do you like them?

I love your idea of the storage. I also have a similar kind of think myself. I keep my everyday make up in a box that had a perfume giftset in it. Its working out alrite but at times the makeup goes all on top of eachother, so Im thinking of getting dividers or maybe even a basket like yours :)

Great post x
