Enough of me, I look and feel awful. Let's talk about my cutie pie! I thought I would update you on what Esra wore today, she looks like a little cupcake! She is overly girly as we had a 'mevlit' for her and it was beautiful. A mevlit is a tradition Turks/Muslims do when a baby is born or when someone passes away and even for other special moments in life like a new home. Friends and family gathered to make prayer and enjoy some lovely food.
Here's the outfit....

Brown onesie - H&M (I added the crochet flowers)
Headband - I made it.

Yum, yum I just want to eat her, but I shall resist. She is now 11 weeks! The headband is massive and looks like a cauliflower on her head but I love it like that! :)

You are one blessed mama! Mashallah she's adorable. I'm Muslim myself but I've never heard of a mevlit but it sounds so interesting, I'd love to do something like that for my own child.

@muslimahbeauty - Thank you, yes it's a turkish thing, but not all turks do it, but we do :) we also used the meat from the akika in the food. it's lovely, we read surah's from the quran etc, it's a nice feeling :) x
MashAllah what a cutie! I absolutely love her skirt and may try to source one for my cousin's baby girl (4 months old).
What you call a melvit, I think Pakistanis (and probably other Muslims from that part of the world!) call a 'hatham' and it sounds like exactly the same thing.

Her dresses for baby girls are beautiful, and so individual. I think you would really like them! Just wish I had a little girl to dress up lol. Get well soon!! It really seems to affect you more when you've got little ones, I think :( xx
