Sumptuous Olive fotd..

Tonight I used one of my favourite colours I had totally forgotten about. 'Sumptuous Olive' by Mac is a beautiful golden olive colour, I teamed it with 'Sweet and Punchy' which is a golden lime green to accentuate the green.

I really do love colour and must make an effort to wear it more often.

All products used on eyes: Mac eyeshadows: 'Ricepaper' (highlight), 'Sumptuous Olive' (outer corner) and 'Sweet and Punchy' (inner corner) eyeshadow. Urban Decay 24/7 liner in 'Zero' on upper lash and waterline. Dior 'Extase' mascara.

  • Face: Dior skin nude foundation, Mac studio finish concealer, YSL touche eclat.
  • Cheeks: Dior matte bronzer and 'Amber Diamond' highlighter.
  • Lips: Jemma Kidd lipliner 'Nutmeg' and Nars 'Turkish Delight' lipgloss.

Look how beautifully the Dior 'Amber Diamond' highlighter photographs. In reality it looks more natural and only glistens when the light hits it, I really am loving it so far.

On my nails I am wearing 'Sephora by OPI - Metro Chic', the Hubby chose this colour, it was either this or a lilac, he loves the more "natural" hues. I must say I do love how this applies and looks, it's gorgeous!

My outfit was really simple, just jeans and a leather jacket, my favourite piece I was wearing was my cuff bracelet, it's simply stunning, it's an antique lapis of luxury piece I picked up from Turkey a few years ago.

Have you ever worn an olive green eyeshadow, if not would you consider it?

make up colours are beautiful but i wouldnt match your make up with your outfit, it looks a bit too matchy matchy if you know what i mean

Thanks girls :) x

@Parisa - It's from Miss Selfridge a LONG time ago :)

@Kira Yes, sometimes too much matchy matchy can be way TOO much, sometimes I like them to clash and sometimes I like to pick a different shade and have them match in a subtle way. :)

It looks great on you - especially with the outfit. Unfortunately olive colours don't really work with my skin tone :(

Great Job! I live in the USA and you really can't find the brand jemma kidd, so I was wondering the lip pencil you're wearing does MAC have or any other brand similar dupe to it or no?

So so so pretty and it compliments your eye colour beautifully. ^_^ x

The Dior 'Amber Diamond' highlighter looks fab on you!
I think you could have put less of the "olive sumptuous" eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye, however, that color goes amazingly well with the color of your eyes...
Not sure that the pink lips + green eyeshadow = good match...
Brown as a nail polish is a color to be chosen carefully, it can look dirty & wrong, or Fabulous (ie: chanel particuliere), this one will be a no for me.
Thanx for sharing, overall you look georgous!

Thanks for all your sweet comments girls. xXx

@9b43.. I usually use Mac Oak lipliner, but the Jemma Kidd one is a closer match to my natural lip colour, try to find one that matches the exact shade of your lips.

@Yasmine – Thank you, the highlighter is amazing! I actually applied ‘Sweet & Punchy’ e/s to the inner corner to make an impact, I wanted the colours to be visible from a distance  without it the look wasn’t complete so I kept applying more and more, and like you said I like the way it accentuates my eye colour. Also, I am wearing a nude lipgloss with a hint of pink, I think it goes perfectly and does look much more neutral in person. With regards to the nail polish oh my, I LOVE this shade and this is certainly not a no no, but again it’s personal preference, that’s what makes each of us unique, there is never a right and a wrong.

I really liked your look and wore it to work the next day. I was worried it would be too much for me (i'm very very fair) but I think it looked really pretty. Thanks for the inspiration!! I am excited to try all sorts of different colors... no more neutrals... at least for a while! :)

I think Jemma Kidd Rose Gold looks better, I was between Amber Diamonds and Rose Gold but I think JK Rose Gold looks like glow, not sweat... Thanks a lot for the reviews!
