Nars Review: Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base...

I'm going to keep it short and sweet.

Nars didn't disappoint with their new smudge proof eyeshadow base.

It's brilliant. Their new primer keeps my eye shadows from creasing and smudging in any type of weather. The formula is lightweight and a creamy white which applies sheer and almost invisible, it leaves no oily or sticky residue which creates a perfect canvas for your eye shadows to smoothly apply and blend. Sometimes I have had trouble with the Urban Decay primer potion as it can be too sticky and cause havoc when trying to blend. This is better than any base I have tried plus I love the packaging.

Not convinced? Next time you are at a Nars counter, apply the primer to the back of your hand and then apply some eyeshadow on top and then try to smudge it, see for yourself.

How I apply: It comes with a doe foot applicator which I use to place the product onto the back of my hand, I warm it up by circulating with my finger and then dab onto my eyelids.

Well done Nars! Price: £18.00

Made me want it :)
I use Artdeco eyeshadow base and am more than happy with it. Although I am on an eternal hunt for new products so I will definatelly give this one from NARS a try.

@Yarisse I say, if it's broken don't fix it, keep using your Art Deco, when you run out then maybe try it :) xx

Hmm, this sounds good. I think I am going to try it out....I was going to get Urban Decay primer potion however I like the packaging better for this one (sleeker) and the formula itself sounds better. Thanks for the review!

i've had the same issue with udpp that you have! i've recently "de-genie-bottled" it and i find it's easier to work with that way, oddly enough. i don't know what it is but when i take it out from the pot with my own fingers, it applies more smoothly.

does this look chalky on the lids? that's something i still have trouble with with my udpp.

@Dani warming it up with your fingers helps, the Nars is not chalky at all, it's very lightweight. x

I am currently obsessed with the too faced primer potion! The bottle for the Urban Decay Primer Potion makes for alot of waste or a huge pain! I will deff be trying out this new NARS primer!

This sounds great. I'll be purchasing it once my UDPP runs out/once I can't actually get any more product out of the awfully designed container! x

I 've heard great stuff about this too and I 'd really love to try it!
I have some remaining UDPP yet to use up though (and who knows what this costs here), but it's definitely gonna be one of my next primer purchases! I 'm right with you on the cons of UDPP, so I bet I 'd like this one as well!
