We made some jam!

This morning me and my mother in law made some jam... to be fair, she made the jam while I watched :)

We picked some raspberry's from the garden, sat them in water for a while... then boiled them and added some sugar! It tastes beautiful!! It's so rewarding to make something yourself...

I then decorated the jars with some fabric...

And added some ribbon and labels... and did this mini photo shoot in the garden!

How cute are they? I love them, I just had to share it with you! I know it's not makeup or fashion related but this kind of decoration and creativity can also be applied to decorating brush holders or personalising clothes! But then again.... if we eat good food like this; it will benefit us and beautify our outside in different ways! :)

oh wow! you're already enjoying time with your mil at the new place :) how great! the jam looks wonderful, and reminds me of making jam w/my mum as a kid--although we didn't decorate them that nicely! you two could start a little side business :)

Aww so cute!

I make Jam with fruit from around the farm when I go home. I'm never inspired to when I'm up in Manchester, I reckon my housemates would eat it all!

Whats nice about making your own jam is that you know whats in the jam and sometimes when you buy jam from the store, your never sure whats really in those jams to begin with!! Plus homemade jam taste better then store bought jams!!

YUM!

I recently purchased a book full of jam recipes and how to make picked tomatoes etc. I'm even more excited to try out some recipes now.

How did you cover your jars like that? Did you first tight seal some plastic wrap around them and then decorated them with that gorgeous cloth? The cloth makes them look so pretty. You've totally inspired me on this one!

thanks so much girls for your comments :)

@dila tadi inanilmaz guzel :)

@anamaria I just put the cloth directly on the lid and secured it with an elastic band and wrapped ribbon around it - easy peasy :)
